Today the paper cube team has worked again.
The aim was to test the laser for cutting and slitting the paper. With the help of a small Java program, the motors of the cutting unit has been activated and a test is performed. We are very pleased with the initial results. What do you think?
Jens and Fabrice are members of the papercube project team. In the last days they have been working on our „Module 1“ (The CuttingModule . The carriage with the pencil is used for training purposes in the Java lecture . Later, it is replaced by a laser module . Then it’s possible to cut the paper . The film can be seen exactly how the unit works . We are always impressed how accurate can be constructed with LEGO.
Todaythepapercubeteam has workedagain: A partis currently working ontherevision of thecuttingmodule . The other team membersrevisethe gluing module. The entire unit isnowmounted on a carriage, toapplythe adhesive oneach point of thepapercan. The special feature oftheunitis thecontactlessgluing. The adhesive is appliedby means of pneumaticonto the paper. Therefore we usea small3-way valve. More on this later🙂
Today we haveournewlaser unitintegrated into the existingLEGO Environment. Subsequently,a first testis performed. This looksvery promising. We madea couple of shotstoshow you howthe laseris to be integrated. Take a look at our new video and photos.
It’s time for a sign of life from papercube.
On the photo is no LEGO!!! Correct!
